Email marketing with Lyft

Challenge

Lyft Business had a great value proposition — but hadn’t yet hired a dedicated strategist and writer to make their offerings compelling, clear, and, most importantly, clickable.

The team was wanting to boost conversion on their annual offering: for organizations to cover employee Lyft rides to and from their holiday parties.

Process

Lead designer Mark Beltran and I reviewed the previous year’s email, making notes of where the offer got confusing and the vibe dull.

We came up with a snazzy concept (Gingerbread House Party) to liven up the often dry inbox of our corporate travel manager audience. I repurposed the nut and bolts of the deal to present the offer in a succinct, irresistible way.

Results

The previous holiday season’s version of this email made $67k in revenue. The email Mark and I created made over $370k.
